Celebrity Silhouette Ship Review for 2011 Holidays
The Celebrity Silhouette Cruise Ship will be launched in July 2011 and will be the fourth ship of Celebrity Cruises in the Solstice Class. This is a 122,000 ton vessel that can accommodate 2,884 passengers. Celebrity Silhouette promises the cruising community an unparalleled cruising experience with its facilities and amenities in the tradition of Celebrity Cruises and much more. This newest ship of Celebrity Cruises will have 85% of its fabulously designed staterooms featuring verandas or balconies with a panoramic view; an extraordinary dining experience in its restaurants that can compare with any 5-star restaurants anywhere in the world; a whole range of enriching pursuits; spectacular entertainment and excellent service.
Some aspects of Celebrity Silhouette’s features are shared with its sister ships, but there are innovation and changes in Celebrity silhouette that are new not only to the Celebrity fleets but even to the entire cruising industry. Some of these innovations are as follows:
Lawn Club Grill – An outdoor dining area that will replace the Corning Glass Museum that is the venue of the well celebrated glass-blowing demonstration. This is an interactive restaurant where guests can join in a pizza – making demonstration or grill their own cut of meat together with the chef.
The Porch – A casual dining area overlooking the Lawn Club that will offer free breakfast and lunch
The Art Studio – this is located at the entrance of the Lawn Club and will be the venue for enhancement classes and art demonstration
Cabana – type alcoves – There will be eight of these cabana-type, WiFi enabled alcoves that can accommodate at least four people and are offered for rent.
Michael’s Club – This will be converted into a specialty beer joint offering a wide selection of whiskey and beer
The Hideaway –This is a lounge that can be used for a quiet time of reading and listening to mood music. This used to be the Team Earth.
Other features of Celebrity Silhouette are the Lawn Club with freshly cut grass turf found on the uppermost deck of the vessel; the Sky Observation Lounge for a spectacular view of the ocean; the Aqua-Spa, a health and wellness spa; Celebrity Central, a theater for Broadway-style performances, movies and comedy shows; a casino; a nightclub and a number of bars and lounges.
